A HOPPERS Crossing man who dressed in his mother’s clothing to rob a local pokies venue twice in a month was sentenced to nine years’ jail by the County Court this month.
Olavo Manuel Puc disguised himself with a skirt, top, high-heeled sandals, stockings and make-up before robbing the Hoppers Crossing Club on Pannam Dr last November.
He was charged with robbing the venue of $3475 on 12 November 2005, and of $2800 on 25 November 2005.
On both occasions, he used a stick concealed in a bag, which staff believed was a gun.
The 44-year-old father-of-two pleaded guilty on two charges of armed robbery.
