TARGET Lotto in Hoppers Crossing must be one of the luckiest shops in Australia.
Last weekend it sold another division one ticket, its sixth in the past two years.
A Hoppers Crossing couple are now celebrating the $769,000 windfall they won from a $9.85 quick pick.
Last July, the shop sold a $9 million Powerball ticket to a Hoppers Crossing pensioner.
Carlo Addamo, who has managed the shop with his owner wife Christine for five years, said he couldn’t explain why the shop had sold so many lucky tickets.
“Maybe it’s us,” he said. “We both think we’re lucky in love because we get to work with each other every day.”
The couple who won the ticket nearly didn’t buy one for the week, but changed their mind at the last minute.
They plan to pay off the mortgage on their home, as well as some bills, and add money to their superannuation fund.
