End of road nears for roadworks

NEW roads pave the way in Wyndham as almost $9 million in roadworks near completion.
In addition to the recent opening of a left-turn lane at the intersection of Heaths and Derrimut roads, other completed works include the duplication of Dunnings Rd and Boardwalk Boulevard, reconstruction of Sheeprun Place, Smith Court, McMurray Crescent and Carling Court and the reconstruction and widening of McGrath Rd north of Bolton Rd.
The Diggers Rd reconstruction between K Rd and Whites Rd are expected to finish by the end of November.
Wyndham mayor Shane Bourke thanked the community for their patience while these works were undertaken.
“With the completion of these projects, Wyndham residents will begin to see some of the works outlined in the 2007/08 budget come to fruition,” he said.
Other upcoming projects include the construction of Boardwalk Boulevard to Sneydes Road and the duplication of Dunnings Road between Boardwalk Boulevard and Juniper Avenue in Point Cook.
Tenders are being called for these projects.
