WERRIBEE Archers Club faced some tough opposition to hit the target at the Sherbrooke Silver Cup at the end of September.
The group of five competitors battled to make their mark against 67 other archery enthusiasts from Canberra, Diamond Valley, Waverley, Frankston, Morwell and Sherbrooke.
The weekend event saw participants compete in a range of disciplines, with Werribee’s Luke Norman engaging in a fierce competition with Tuggeranong opponent Mick Turner in the Open Men’s Barebow Recurve event to finish in second place.
The Silver Cup is renowned in archery circles as a prominent event on Victoria’s archery calendar.
