WILLIAMSTOWN has moved to third following its best performance of the season against Frankston at home.
The Seagulls crushed the Dolphins by 65 points with roaming forward Andrew Williams unstoppable.
Williams booted 8.2 and had a hand in several others as his side recovered from a slow opening to dominate proceedings after quarter time.
The Seagulls trailed by two points at the first change but piled on six goals to one in the second quarter to set up the win.
Dean Limbach booted four goals while Tyson Goldsack was sensational down back.
“It was definitely our best win of the year,” Williamstown football manager Bruce Davis said.
“I think the guys are really enjoying their footy and are starting to enjoy each other’s company as well, which really helps.
“They’re starting to do the things you need to in order to become a good side and we have a good mix at the moment.”
Collingwood livewires Leon Davis and Chris Egan both lined up for Willy after being dropped for the Magpies’ clash with Carlton on Saturday for breaking a curfew.
Shannon Cox, who received the same punishment, pulled out with a leg injury.
WERRIBEE clicked into overdrive against Tasmania on Saturday to crush the Devils by an imposing 114 points.
The Tigers booted a whopping 31.14.200 to 12.14.86 in their best display this year with a number of players enjoying fruitful afternoons in front of goal.
James Podsiadly and Matt Robbins both booted six goals with the latter enjoying a dominant performance that will have him pushing for a recall into the Western Bulldogs line-up.
Fellow Bulldog Wade Skipper also booted four goals in an impressive display.
Dominic Gleeson continued his white-hot form, earning best afield honours while Jacob Furfaro and Will Minson were hard to contain and played leading roles in the big win.
It was Werribee’s second win by over 100 points in as many weeks after disposing of North Ballarat by a three-figure margin in round five.
They have now moved into eighth position on the Victorian Football League ladder with a bye to look forward to this week.
