MERCY Health and Aged Care, operators of Werribee Mercy Hospital, has been recognised as a leader in driving change for a more equitable workplace, with the awarding of an Employer of Choice for Women citation.
The citation was announced this morning by the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workforce Agency (EOWA).
Mercy Health and Aged Care chief executive officer, John Ballard, said attracting, retaining and promoting women in the workforce was an organisational priority.
“The health and rights of women are threaded throughout the 151 years of service of the Sisters of Mercy,” Mr Ballard said.
