Show your colours

THE National Australia Day Council has made some suggestions for what people can do to celebrate the country’s special day on Saturday 26 January.
They include, dress in green and gold and attend an Australia Day event; host an Aussie icons dress-up barbecue; say ‘g’day’ to everyone you see; plant a national symbol such as the golden wattle; organise a backyard cricket game with the neighbours; watch DVDs of great Australian films; start saving water to help protect the environment and precious resources; and learn more about indigenous culture and read the stories of the Dreamtime to the kids.
