THE hunt for a “callous” man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl continues, with police calling for the community for help.
The girl was swimming in one of the pools at the Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing at around 2.30pm on 25 April when she was approached by a man.
The man made lewd comments towards the girl and followed her between the several pools at the centre while she tried to protect her eight-year-old friend.
Once the mother of the younger girl returned and staff were notified of what happened, the man fled the area.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged between 30 and 40, 170cm tall with short, dark hair which is greying in parts.
