RICKY Muscat could be the next big thing for Wyndham.
Following the example of Anthony Callea, the Werribee resident has made it to the top 24 in this year’s Australian Idol contest.
The 22-year-old will know this week if he makes it further.
If not, he’s back to his Werribee job making foam panels and playing football for the Glen Orden Hawks.
Adam Brookshaw, Ricky’s friend, football coach and employer, said he thought Ricky’s chances were “huge.”
“He’s the kind of guy who lights up the room when he walks in,” he said.
The former Galvin Park College student calls his Werribee home from Sydney every night.
“He’s been enjoying all the girls coming up to get autographs,” said Mr Brookshaw.
