THE search for a missing Tarneit man ended on a sad note, after his body was found last week.
Christopher Garard Annett went missing on Thursday 4 August, and police originally believed he was heading to work in the city at the time.
But they confirmed last week that Mr Annett’s body was found in the Brisbane Ranges National Park, near the small country town of Anakie, more than 70 kilometres from his intended destination.
Family members recalled a loving father, husband and son as they paid tribute to Mr Annett.
“A quiet man with great integrity and quirky sense of humour, admired for his generosity to his community. Sadly missed,” an obituary from the family read.
While police could not determine why Mr Annett went missing, they said they were not treating the death as suspicious, and would now prepare a report for the Coroner.
