WYNDHAM SES got a $210,000 boost in the form of a new emergency response truck recently.
State Roads Minister Tim Pallas handed over the keys of the vehicle, which is more easily manoeuvrable than its predecessor.
The new vehicle’s improved driving ability will help SES members respond to emergency calls, according to Mr Pallas.
“(The new truck will make) it easier for Wyndham Unit members to respond to floods and storms in a growth corridor with housing estates,” Mr Pallas said.
“Wyndham VICSES has 35 active members who do a great job assisting the community during emergencies, responding to around 300 calls for assistance per annum.
