WYNDHAM City and VicRoads are urging residents to drive safely and act responsibly around schools.
The volume of traffic during drop off and pick up times at schools can result in dangerous driver behaviour, which puts lives at risk.
The VicRoads Safe to School campaign encourages schools to create their own strategy for tackling traffic safety.
“Road safety is a prominent issue around schools. As responsible citizens we need to be aware of other road users such as pedestrians and cyclists, (and) even more during school drop off and pick up hours,” Wyndham mayor Heather Marcus said.
