WYNDHAM will undergo a major makeover with more than $1.5 million being spent on new signs to be installed throughout the municipality.
At last week’s council meeting a tender evaluation contract was approved for the Wyndham City Signage Program which will see signs installed at 386 individual locations and the removal of existing signage.
The major re-branding comes as Star revealed that less than one per cent of visitors to the City knew they were actually in Wyndham and not Werribee.
The signs will be made of a galvanised steel frame, anti-graffiti coating and gateway signage will have lighting powered by solar panels.
