WYNDHAM residents can expect more and more residential developers to make the move to suburbs like Point Cook and Tarneit, with the creator of one of the newest communities saying that the municipality is perfect for “bringing back the neighbourhood”.

Saltwater Coast, a new 2300 home community that is planned for Point Cook, promises residents affordable housing in a great location.
Evian Delfabbro, executive general manager of residential communities at FKP, who are developing Saltwater Coast, said the West would continue to attract developers as long as house prices remain lower than other parts of Melbourne.
“Wyndham is one of Melbourne’s fastest growing areas, with homebuyers recognising the fantastic value of the area with the March 2011 median house sale price at Point Cook being only $446,000,” Ms Delfabbro said.
“A similar bayside house 20km South East of the Melbourne CBD would set you back somewhere between $1-2 million with, for example, the March 2011 median house sale price in Sandringham being $1.48 million and $1.77 million in Black Rock.
“With the upgrade to the West Gate Bridge now complete, the popularity of Melbourne’s western corridor is surely set to only increase.”
While residents and community advocates from Wyndham have recently argued that the municipality cannot handle the current influx of residents, FKP claim that every home at Saltwater Coast will be located within 400 metres of a park and a residents-only city centre.
