Roos steal a thriller

SUNSHINE’S WRFL Division One reserves team capped off an incredible finals series with an incredible victory against Hoppers Crossing on Saturday. The Kangaroos kicked the winning goal after the siren to claim the premiership by three points. Sunshine, which finished the home-and-away season in third spot, had an amazing journey through the final series, defeating Spotswood in overtime in the qualifying final, going down to Hoppers Crossing in the semi-final, and then edging out Albion by three points in the preliminary final, only to win by the same margin in the grand final. It’s a good news story for a club whose senior side fell disappointingly short of expectations this season. 70578 Picture: KRISTIAN SCOTTSUNSHINE’S WRFL Division One reserves team capped off an incredible finals series with an incredible victory against Hoppers Crossing on Saturday.
