THIEVES who allegedly stole more than $100,000 worth of goods, have been arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Wyndham Burglary Unit and Maribyrnong CIU.
Last week, a 43-year-old man from Hadfield and a 24-year-old female Altona Meadows resident were arrested, interviewed and charged by police, in relation to a number of residential burglaries, thefts from motor vehicles and deceptions committed at retail stores across the West.
Police executed warrants at the pair’s home address and recovered a number of items including stolen credit cards, electrical items and jewellery.
The pair allegedly committed 12 burglaries within November this year, including four in the Wyndham area.
This included a Tarneit burglary, during which the pair allegedly stole more than $100,000 worth of goods including a substantial amount of cash.
Police said other charges were pending for the duo, in relation to four burglaries committed in Brimbank and four in Maribyrnong.
The pair were remanded in custody to appear at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court this week.
