Big wet hits races

WERRIBEE Racing Club cannot seem to catch a break with the race meeting that was supposed to launch their season being abandoned due to a freak storm on the weekend. As thousands of wishful punters descended upon the race track last Saturday, a sudden burst of rain meant that only the first two races were run. To add insult to injury, the roof of the members dining room also collapsed due to the rain. But the rain didn’t stop young Sam Ando making a splash.
