IT MIGHT be a bit later than you would usually celebrate New Year’s Eve but Wyndham residents are being encouraged to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon in Point Cook.
The Point Cook Chinese New Year Street Fair will feature live entertainment, market stalls and activities and will be hosted by the Point Cook Town Centre.
Councillor Bob Fairclough said the fair would provide something for every member of the family.
“The Point Cook Chinese New Year Street Fair will promote the diversity of our community and celebrate the culture and traditions of our Chinese residents,” Cr Fairclough said.
“The fair will also showcase what a vibrant shopping centre we have in Point Cook and give residents the opportunity to meet some of their neighbours.”
The Point Cook Chinese New Year Street Fair is on Murnong St in Point Cook from 5pm to 9pm on Friday 20 January.
