A HOUSE fire in Werribee over the weekend has left a family homeless and a man with burns to his arm.
A Country Fire Authority spokesperson told Star the fire at a house in Carissa Circuit in Werribee, close to Tarneit Rd, was called in at 9.42pm and took more than two hours to get under control.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man received burns to one of his arms and was treated at the scene of the fire. He was not required to go to hospital.
The roof of the family home collapsed, but a CFA spokesperson said firefighters managed to stop the fire from completely destroying the house.
The CFA is currently investigating the cause of the fire with a faulty air conditioner believed to be the culprit. The fire was eventually brought under control just after midnight.
