HUNDREDS of book lovers waited at the Wyndham Vale Library last week to meet one of the most successful authors in the world, and they were not disappointed.
Jodi Picoult, author of books like My Sister’s Keeper, held a rare meet and greet session in which she talked about her latest book and answered questions from fans.
Before she entered the room in a costume that suits the fairytale setting of her latest book, there was a buzz of excitement in the packed library.
Some audience members had come from as far away Adelaide for the event, which was one of only two being held in Melbourne during Ms Picoult’s visit.
“To have 400 people in a relatively new community centre is amazing and to have an internationally famous author in our City is just fantastic,” Mayor McAliney said.
