WYNDHAM’S peak advocacy group has announced the resignation and replacement of its Executive Director.
The Committee for Wyndham will be without former Executive Director Nik Tsardakis from 3 December when Chris Potaris takes over.
Peter Hudson, Chairman of the Committee, said Mr Potaris had been chosen for the role following an extensive search.
“I am very excited to have someone of Chris’s calibre join the Committee at such a pivotal time for the Wyndham region. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the Committee having been a senior manager in the not-for-profit sector, including Chief Executive Officer of an international membership-based organisation,” Mr Hudson said.
“With the rapid growth of the Wyndham region, the role of the Committee for Wyndham is more critical now than ever before.
“Wyndham needs sustainable solutions to issues such as transport and employment, as well as a strong local economic position. The Committee for Wyndham, through its membership of key businesses and leaders in the community, is uniquely placed to influence decision making and advocate on these and other issues.”
Established in 1998 as a civic membership association, the Committee for Wyndham brings together influential business and community organisations to work together to promote and enhance the social, environmental, economic and cultural wellbeing of the broader Wyndham community.
The Committee thanked Mr Tsardakis for his time as Executive Director and wished him well in his future.
