TWENTY five per cent of drivers that were tested at a booze bus in Williams Landing recently returned positive results for drugs.
Leading Senior Constable Eddy from the Wyndham Highway Patrol said the bus was set up on 25 June and 482 drivers were tested for alcohol and drugs.
More than 120 were found to be under the influence of drugs and they will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
“We would like to continue the message that booze buses test for drugs as well as alcohol,” Ldg Sen Const Eddy said.
On Monday 17 June at 9am, another driver was also caught flouting the road rules.
The 33-year-old man from St Albans had his car impounded for 30 days after being stopped for a routine licence check in Laverton North.
It was found that his licence had been cancelled and he was disqualified from driving.
He had a prior court conviction for driving whilst suspended.
He was summonsed to attend court at a later date.
Anyone that witnesses dangerous driving should call 000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
