WYNDHAM’S young residents will be treated to a month of fun with the annual Youth Festival taking place at a new venue.
As part of the event, which is organised by Wyndham Council, Cr Marie Brittan has urged young people to get active at the Bootcamp Army Party on Friday 15 November at the Youth Resource Centre.
“The camo dress-up party is going to be lots of fun. There will be a DJ room for the dancers and a giant inflatable army obstacle course for all the ‘soldiers’ out there,” Cr Brittan said.
“Join in water fights and bootcamp competitions, with a variety of prizes to be won. It only costs $2 and snacks, drinks and a BBQ will be provided.
“I am also very excited to announce this year’s Wyndham City Youth Festival will be taking place on Friday 22nd November, 2013 at Mossfiel Reserve from 4pm until 9pm.
Cr Brittan said the annual event is usually held at the Youth Resource Centre, however due to the construction at the Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre, the switch had been made this year to Mossfiel Reserve.
“Free rides and amusements will be part of Festival, as well as a free sausage sizzle – so make sure you and your friends head down for a fun day out,” she said.
All Youth Service programs are fully supervised and are alcohol, drug and smoke free events. The Youth Resource Centre is located at 86 Derrimut Road in Hoppers Crossing.
