A WYNDHAM VALE father and his two children who star in an Australian action film are preparing to walk the red carpet for the movie this weekend.
The movie The Ninja Immovable Heart, was created by Geelong local Rob Baard, and was also filmed and financed in Geelong.
Adrian Trait, of Wyndham Vale, will play a male cop in the action movie and his two children Sarah, 14 and Aaron, 11 star as homeless children who are rescued by the heroes in the movie.
Mr Trait, who was chosen for the role by chance, has never acted before but said he enjoyed the experience.
“It’s not something I thought about doing or even looked into doing, it sort of found me I guess,” Mr Trait said.
“It’s completely different to anything I’ve ever done,” he said.
“It was exciting and it was very full on, there was a lot happening.”
The movie was shot in various locations across Geelong between February and July last year and involved 278 people working on the project.
Mr Trait said his children had a much bigger role than him and were very excited.
“They were very excited to be part of the movie,” he said.
“They are kind of like little mini stars amongst their school friends, they are absolutely loving it.”
Mr Trait said he was happy to support his primary school friend Mr Baard, who is the director, writer and producer of The Ninja franchise which includes books, toy sets, clothing and an upcoming second movie.
The Ninja Immovable Heart is the first feature film in the series of films carrying the title of the hero character “The Ninja” and will premiere at Village Cinemas Geelong on Saturday February 8.
