HE HAS appeared in ‘Cats’, ‘Into the Woods’ and at the Logies, and now Werribee resident Marco Fusco is taking to the stage in ‘Chicago’.
The Williamstown Musical Theatre Company will present the musical, penned by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, from until 19 November.
“I have seen the show three times, twice in London, once on board a cruise ship and of course I own the movie on DVD,” Mr Fusco said.
“Chicago is actually one of my favourite musicals. It is a classic, definitely in my top three.”
At only 22 years old, Mr Fusco is already a seasoned performer, who has been entertaining people since the age of three.
“My most recent theatre credits include Lead Drag Queen in ‘Dusty the original pop diva’, representing Russia, Italy and Estonia in ‘Eurobeat – Almost Eurovision’, playing Jack in ‘Into the Woods’ and Growl Tiger in ‘Cats’, to name a few,” he said.
“I have also done work on television such as TV commercials, extras work and also I performed on the Logies.”
Mr Fusco said getting the chance to perform in the style of Fosse’s legendary choreography in Chicago rehearsals has been exciting.
“I have loved the whole process, just perfecting and learning about the icon Fosse style of movement has been amazing,” he said.
The young actor leads an artistic life, working in a theatre, teaching at Stepping Out Performing Arts Centre and studying interior design.
Chicago is on at the Williamstown Mechanics Institute, corner of Melbourne Rd and Electra St, Williamstown.
