A BICYCLE rider was hit by a ute during a road rage incident in Werribee on 22 February.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident – which took place at approximately 4.40pm on the corner of Bulban and Ballan roads – to come forward.
The driver of a ute was travelling along Cottrell St, when he became involved in an argument with a cyclist.
The cyclist then exited Bulban Rd and dismounted from his bike on the footpath, when the ute’s driver drove directly forward and hit him.
There was a further altercation between the driver and cyclist, before witnesses intervened. The cyclist’s injuries were not life threatening.
