Palmer’s candidate a Rock

CLIVE Palmer has unveiled his candidate to take on Lyne at this year’s federal election.
Simon Rock will lead the charge for the Palmer United Party after being named as the candidate late last month.
Mr Rock said he was running for the Palmer party because he was fed up with the current political parties and their career politicians.
“They are not working for the best interest of Australians,” he said.
Mr Rock lives outside the electorate in the Hunter Valley, but said he would soon move to Port Macquarie to tackle the election.
A long-time business owner, Mr Rock has spent the past 25 years on many community committees and did a three-year term as president of the chamber of commerce.
“Instead of complaining, you should get in and do something to make a difference,” he said.
