Hitting the strings

KENDALL will play host to the Conservatorium of Music on Sunday for the 15th annual Kendall Violin Competition.
The event has established itself as a major event for young violinists in Australia.
Past finalists and winners of the Kendall competition have forged impressive international careers and the local organisers are proud to have helped these talented artists on their way.
Eight of Australia’s most promising young violinists will compete for a place in the final round of this important national competition.
The semi-finalists performing on Sunday are Benjamin Adler, Grace Clifford, Yeji Kim, Hana King, Yejin Min, Charlie Westhoff, Tony Zhai and Emma Zhuang.
The judging panel for the semi-final round will be Toni Pini, Susan Collins and Sun Roh.
Members of the public are invited to attend, although bookings are encouraged.
