PEDAL power was put to good use by more than 100 people on Sunday as they combined to raise more than $10,000 for cancer research.
Mountain bike riders from all across the region, including Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Kempsey, gathered at Telegraph Point for a six-hour endurance event to raise money for Cancer Council NSW.
Organised by the Port Macquarie Sunrise Rotary Club, riders were able to tackle the course individually or as part of a team.
Port Macquarie-Hastings mayor Peter Besseling even took part, riding some laps after officially opening the event.
While some riders took on the six-hour challenge seriously, others basked in the sunny weather and took a casual approach.
Organisers said they were thrilled with the community response and plans are already in place for another event of its kind next year.
