“It was an unbelievable week in Orange and the members and staff of Duntryleague Golf Club could not have been more welcoming,” Margaret said.

Fellow competitor and travelling companion, Chris Dickson, also picked up daily prizes including five Nearest to the Pins and came 3rd in the Ladies 4-day Event.

Margaret’s prizes included a crystal clock, luxury accommodation and dinner for two at the Sir Stamford Hotel at Circular Quay, golf for two at NSW Golf Club, the free use of a Mercedes Benz while in Sydney, a golf bag with matching umbrella, towel, club covers etc and a dozen bottles of Orange district wines.

“I also won four shirts in the daily events,” Margaret said.
“I am grateful to West Orange Motors, Duntryleague and a number of local wineries for their sponsorship of this wonderful event, which is sure to become popular in the years to come,” Margaret Bateman said.
