Six groups get a chance to pocket $20,000

Six local community organ-isations will compete to win a share of $20,000.
Douglas Vale Conservation Group, Hastings Men’s Shed,  Port Macquarie Marine Rescue, Mid Coast Care/ACES, Port Macquarie Rotary Clubs, and Wauchope-Bonny Hills Surf Lifesaving Club will be vying for the annual Port Macquarie Panthers and Tooheys Renovate Your Community program’s funds.
The organisation that receives the most votes from the community will receive a $15,000 grant for their project, and the five other participating organisations will receive a $1000 grant each to put towards their project.
The six organisations selected were announced at the Renovate Your Community Launch on Friday, February 25 held at the Club.
Each of the six groups showcased their project to the wider community.
Voting commenced on Tuesday, March 1 and will run until Monday, March 21.
One vote per day per person will be accepted and can be made either online at Panthers website panthers.com.au or in person at Club reception.
Voting will be open to both members and non-members of the Club.
Vote for your chosen community project to ensure they receive the major $15,000 grant.
The winning organisation will be announced on Friday, March 26.
What can you do to ensure your favourite project receives the major $15,000 grant?
Rally your members, family and friends to vote — once per day.
Get out in the local community to increase awareness of your chosen project so the local community can vote for it.
