Port City Hockey Club is calling for all existing and new players to join the Club for season 2011.
The registration and “Come Try Hockey” day is this Saturday, March 5 at the Ocean Drive Hockey Complex.
It will be held between 9am and 11am.
There will be supervised activities for all new players that wish to try hockey for the first time before signing on — all equipment will be provided for the trial.
A spokesman said the advantages of playing hockey for Port City Hockey Club are that the games are played at the same venue week in week out and at the same time.
This year will see the fees set at $65 per player.
For new players, this will include a hockey starter pack including; stick, ball, mouthguards, shin pads etc.
The fee also includes a playing shirt for all players.
With the ever increasing junior numbers in hockey, the competition is expanding rapidly to include various age groups from under 5’s through to under 15’s and catering for both genders.
