Reading the letter by Thomas Aubert about his opinion of the importance of political parties in charge made me think perhaps he does not read the local papers about the funding being directed into this electorate at both levels of government through the Independents who don’t have to toe the party line as I did for years before I walked out one night when the Party came before the needs of the community on a very important matter.
I understand that when the electorate was controlled by the Coalition for fifty years, this town was just a fishing village with a few shops we saw when passing through on our way back to Sydney after a Holiday at Coffs.
Look at it now, with funding pouring in from State and Federal Governments! Why change something that’s really working? Facts speak for themselves.
