Beechwood Pub was alive with music last Friday when it hosted the Karaoke World Championship finals for the Mid-North Coast.
Finalists belted out their songs in the hope of becoming one of three representatives to go to Sydney to become the NSW finalist.
The evening started with a hive of non-finalists entertaining the audience, including a special performance from a masked performer.
Just after 9pm though, the contest got serious and the finalists battled it out, with an excellent choice of songs and fantastic entertainment.
Tammy Wall, Fred Smith and Carolyn Thompson were the winners.
In June they will travel to Sydney and sing to a larger audience.
Hopefully one will then head off to Noosa for the Australian Title.
With over $50,000 up for grabs in cash and prizes in national and international finals combined, it is hoped one of our locals will be representing Australia in Ireland for the Karaoke World Championships, the world’s largest amateur singing competition.
You can enjoy karaoke every Friday night at the Beechwood Pub, Beechwood (except Good Friday).
