More than 300 people packed Town Beach for a spectacular Easter Sunrise and Combined Church Service on Easter Sunday morning at 6am.
The service, led by Rev John West (Rector of St Thomas’ Anglican Church and President of the Port Macquarie Ministers Association) and Captain Brett Gallagher and the local Salvation Army band, was a moving ceremony.
Rev Allan Johnston from the Port Macquarie Baptist Church gave a succinct presentation of the Easter story.
Over $1000 was collected for Scripture in Port Macquarie schools.
Most churches reported above average crowds at the Easter services.
