Become part of history and volunteer

As part of National Volunteer Week celebrations for the week of May 9-15 the Port Macquarie Historical Society will be holding an information session for new and potential volunteers.
The event will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 10am at the Port Macquarie Historical Museum in Clarence Street.
“It is an opportunity to highlight the work of our volunteers and most importantly we hope to inspire and recruit some new volunteers for our entirely volunteer run organisation,” says Leonie Laws, President.
“We have about 60 active volunteers at any one time and are always looking for more” says Mrs Laws.
The information morning will include morning tea, a brief chat about volunteering opportunities and a tour of the museum.
For further information, phone the museum on 6583 1108.
