Renowned painter, Matthew Weatherstone, took his creative nous back to the classroom recently.
Matthew visited art students at Heritage Christian School, coinciding his busy program as a Sydney based artist with returning “home” to participate in an exhibition at Sunset Gallery in Port Macquarie.
Matthew’s artworks have recently been on exhibition in a range of Sydney Galleries located in Waterloo, Double Bay and Paddington.
This is the second time Matthew has returned to his old school after he stepped back into the classroom last year to speak to students on the practice of art..
Extending beyond the use of art in his exhibition practice, Matthew also uses art as a tool to promote better living for people with various disabilities in association with the YPIRAC (Younger People In Residential Aged Care) program.
