Port’s newest MP has made her inaugural speech in Parliament.
Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams, said it has been a long, hard journey over six years to win the seat, but the fight has been well worth it.
Mrs Williams said she got her ethic for hard work, community advocacy and her determination from her parents who were in the Parliamentary Gallery to hear her speech.
Mrs Williams highlighted a range of commitments she will be working on during the next four years, including the redevelopment of Port Macquarie Base Hospital, the replacement of Stingray Creek Bridge, upgrading the playground at Crowdy Head and dredging at Harrington, as well as seeing the final link of the Pacific Highway upgrade in the Port Macquarie electorate completed.
