The Port Macquarie Base Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the local Men’s Shed have received a much needed boost from the Port Macquarie Lions Club.
The local Lions recently donated $3000 to the Palliative Care Unit for a blanket warmer, and $2500 to the Port Macquarie Men’s Shed.
A “Grocery Grab” will also take place in early August.
The winner of the raffle conducted at Coles Lake Innes will have two minutes to fill a trolley with goods.
Tickets ($2) for this raffle will be sold outside Coles Lake Innes by Port Macquarie Lions members on Thursday, Friday and Sunday afternoons, and Saturdays from 10-4pm.
The raffle draw will take place at 2pm on Thursday, August 4.
All funds raised will go to local charities and community projects.
