A warming remedy against the chill of winter is an afternoon of music performed by Sinfonia Mid-North Coast, the region’s premiere community orchestra.
Sinfonia will be performing four June concerts in four different communities: Laurieton, Harrington, Taree and Forster on June 18, 19, 25, and 26 respectively.
All concerts are at 2pm.
Sinfonia’s program is a mix of great orchestral works across different musical genres, which makes for a very enjoyable and entertaining experience.
The orchestra will be joined for these concerts by the combined guest choirs of A Company of Voices from the Forster area, and Taree’s Kantabile.
This is a rare opportunity to hear both a full orchestra and large choir in one concert, in your own community.
Sinfonia is conducted by James Hannah of Port Macquarie, with assistant conductor, Iain Pole of West Haven.
Players, aged from teens to seniors, get together from across the Mid-North Coast and Gloucester areas to perform in two concert series each year.
The concert at Laurieton is on Saturday, June 18, 2pm at Redeemer Church, phone 6559 8487.
Tickets for the June concerts are available at the door or from select outlets.
