The waters around Port came to roaring life from last Friday until Sunday with Round 5 of the Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix being hosted at McInherney Park.
Approximately 200 crew were directly involved with the 30 to 40 drivers that were scheduled to participate in this round of the competition.
In negotiating the return of this spectator friendly event to Port Macquarie, Council was able to secure a two-year deal to ensure the event will again return in 2012.
