Ryley’s ready to play rough

Round three of the national  wheelchair rugby champions competition has kicked off in Sydney and Port Macquarie’s Ryley Batt is up for the challenge with the NSW Gladiators.
Wheelchair rugby, or murder ball, is a fast-paced, physical and ferocious game, incorporating elements of basketball, American football and ice hockey.
As defending champions of the National Wheelchair Rugby League, the GIO NSW Gladiators are expected to be the team to beat in 2011, having dominated the competition since 2006.
Wheelchair Sports NSW provides a range of sporting programs and events for athletes of all ages and skill levels. With 14 sports on offer in Sydney and regional NSW, there are opportunities to suit a wide range of physical ability.
