Decision time for Hastings Co-op

It is decision time for shareholders of the Hasting Co-op, with the group moving into the next stage of determining the sale of the Dairy Factory.
Voting material is to be distributed to shareholder members late next week, following the Registrar of Co-operatives’ approval of the ‘Disclosure Statement’.
Mrs Julie Muller, Chair of the Hasting Co-op Board, said approval had been received  and the Independent Returning Officer from Potts Davis Duncombe Accountants would post the documentation by Friday, August 19.
“The ballot will close on Friday, September 23. Whilst this will allow a longer period than the 21 days required, it will allow shareholders time to cast their vote and return it by the deadline,” Mrs Muller said.
There will also be Shareholder and Community Information Sessions on the Dairy Factory sale at the Wauchope Senior Citizens Centre (beside Library) on Thursday, August 25, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
On Friday,  August 26, informal information sessions will be held in the Port Macquarie CWA Rooms adjacent to the Town Green, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
