About 1am last Thursday, September 15, police and emergency services attended a fatal accident involving a semi-trailer that had crashed on the rail lines at Rossglen.
It is believed the truck has left the Pacific Highway, crashed through armco railing and slid down an embankment onto the railway lines.
In addition to the Highway, the North Coast Railway Line was also blocked and trains were suspended until the truck was salvaged.
Police from Mid-North Coast Local Area Command are investigating the incident. Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
