With the passage of the Clean Energy Futures legislation through the House of Representatives and the impending passage through the Senate, I call on all of those who don’t want to pay a carbon tax to rise up and resist.
Insulate yourself in winter against the tax by putting on a jumper instead of the heater. Open a window instead of turning on the air-conditioner. Put in a solar electricity generator. Insulate your home. Switch your lights off when not in use. Get solar hot water.
This carbon tax will create a new tax-avoidance industry. Scientists and engineers are already working on ways to make us all tax avoiders. Wind farms are being established by tax-avoidance companies to generate carbon tax-free electricity. Tax-avoiding farmers are receiving rent for these wind generators. Molten-salt solar plants are being established.
Some tax-avoiding factories, even in the seat of Lyne, are starting to generate their own electricity without emitting carbon dioxide.
You, too, can be a tax avoider.
