Pedal points put GSC first

Gordon Street Cycles (GSC) has pedalled its way to winning a high end competition.
Rocky Trail Entertainment has been running a bike shop competition with its Shimano MTB Grand Prix racing series in 2011, where riders could nominate a bike shop to claim their series points.
So the more riders or the better the race results, the more points a shop would be able to get per race. There were four races in the series and our goal was to raise awareness for mountain bike racing and the sport through local bike shops and to help them promote their businesses.
Racers who nominated the Gordon Street Cycles store included 24H MTB Solo World Champion Jason English, as well as Belinda Porter (U30 24H World Solo Champion) and her husband Greg Porter.
Lloyd Newell, owner of GSC also raced, as did Billy Sewell, U19 National MTB Champion.
The JetBlack Bike Shop Trophy came to the team of GSC at their store in Port Macquarie. As promised, we will cook up a storm of Austrian Schnitzels for them! I will be able to confirm a firm date and time in the next few days.
The JetBlack Bike Shop Trophy went to Gordon Street Cycle in Port Macquarie with 6668 points, while The Bike Shed Mortdale finished second with 6540 points.
Third place went to Bike Minded from the Blue  Mountains on 2793 points.
