During yesterday’s (20.10.11) hearing by the Senate Economics Committee and in response to the following question by Western Australian Senator Mathias Cormann, “By how much will your carbon tax reduce the world’s temperature or change the world’s climate?” Senator Wong said, “That is a ridiculous question.” Senator Cormann finally received this reply from Senator Wong, “It WILL NOT reduce the world’s temperature OR CHANGE the world’s climate…”
My question to those promoting this tax is, why then is this toxic tax being imposed upon Australia? It is time for honesty. Clearly this tax is all about revenue raising and redistribution of wealth and, on the admission of Senator Wong, it has nothing to do with climate change or global warming.
