Senator John Williams’ recent straw poll in the Lyne electorate on the Clean Energy Bill was meaningless and had no statistical significance. Most people such as me who support the Clean Energy Bill and the upcoming emissions trading scheme, put the survey form in the recycling bin where it belonged. It was less about gauging genuine public opinion on the topic than the Nat’s sour grapes and undermining of Rob Oakeshott for political ends.
