A bank on Short Street in Port Macquarie was robbed by a lone criminal at about noon on Monday.
A man described as Caucasian, 188cm tall, of thin build, with sandy blonde hair and bad skin, entered the Bank of Queensland site and demanded an amount of money from a cashier, Port Macquarie Police Duty Officer Inspector John Sullivan said.
He said the cashier complied with the man’s demands and handed over a sum of money.
The robber then fled the scene on foot and was last seen moving north along Short Street.
He was described as wearing a bucket style hat and a long sleeve green shirt.
Insp Sullivan said Police were calling on any witnesses to assist in their investigations.
