Rebels with a cause

Port Macquarie’s own rockin’ trio, the Dirty Little Rebels, have been announced the 2011 winners of the triple j Unearthed slot for Festival of the Sun.
The Dirty Little Rebels are Tony Hunter on guitar and vocals, Jack Gibson on bass and Jakey Hall on drums.
From a panel of triple j experts including music director Richard Kingsmill and Home & Hosed presenter Dom Alessio, lead track ‘Bones’ was deemed to rock hard enough to seal the win. Along with the winning announcement, the track was played nationally on triple j.
“Loud – dirty rock – roll. If you could condense the smell of leather and sweat into a song, it would sound something like this,” said triple j Senior Music Producer Dan Buhaglar, on ‘Bones.’
FOTSUN were stoked to be teaming up for the fourth year running with the dream-makers at triple j Unearthed to find the ultimate hidden secret from the NSW Mid-North Coast, and the Dirty Little Rebels are it
